In the Painting, the Giant Waves are colored in cerulean blue, the royal blue, and the turquoise blue. The black lines shading the blue indicate the movement of the waves. On the left lower quadrant, there are a crescent moon standing vertically and tilted slightly, a sunrise in red, and a sunset in yellow. It is an exaggerated expression of the power of the Giant Waves who could swallow moon and sun, making them under.
 
At the top, the upside down Ark is colored as yellow and pink as it moves in the painting. The Giant Waves turn it over.
